Education Ministers, union leaders and senior officials from across the British Isles will gather in Jersey this week for a major summit on the future of education.
Organised by the National Association of Head Teachers, the event takes place on Thursday at the Grand Jersey Hotel. Delegates from Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, England and Ireland are due to attend, with hopes it will become an annual fixture.
The summit will be opened by Education Minister Rob Ward and will focus on shared challenges including teacher recruitment, inclusion, and student wellbeing. The agenda also covers system leadership, digital innovation, and preparing learners for a changing world.
NAHT general secretary Paul Whiteman said the summit was an opportunity for nations to share experiences and best practice to support children and young people.
