Businesses Urged to Explore New £5.3m Support Scheme

Business leaders are encouraging companies in Jersey to check if they qualify for a new government-backed funding programme designed to help local firms grow.

The Government of Jersey’s Better Business Support Package, worth up to £5.3 million and delivered through Jersey Business, is set to launch later this month. The scheme aims to support projects focused on areas such as staff training, boosting productivity, and developing apprenticeships.

Firms can use an online tool to quickly check if they’re eligible for a 50% match-funded grant.

Paul Murphy, chief executive of Jersey Business, described the scheme as "an exciting package that should kick-start investment" and help businesses "grow and become more profitable."

To support companies interested in applying, a series of briefings and workshops will be held in the coming weeks.
