Jersey Business has announced plans to increase its focus on start-ups next year, aiming to enhance efficiency and productivity across the island’s economy.

The organisation, which provides independent and confidential advice to local businesses, intends to expand its support by 50% in 2025. As part of its efforts, it will lead the rollout of the government's Better Business Support Package (BBSP) in March while continuing to manage the Agricultural Loans Fund.

These initiatives are designed to strengthen key sectors, including rural businesses, tourism, and retail, by offering targeted support and development opportunities.

Jersey Business emphasized that its approach in the past year has been centered on delivering greater returns on government investment, with engagement data showing increased business support and more effective industry outreach. Feedback from business leaders involved in its programs indicated growth and improved resilience in their operations.

Looking ahead, the organisation expects its expanded efforts to play a crucial role in boosting overall economic performance and ensuring long-term sustainability for Jersey’s business community.
