Jersey Bulls Storm Into FA Cup Preliminary Round With Emphatic 5-0 Win
Jersey Bulls made a dominant start to their FA Cup campaign with a commanding 5-0 victory over Erith and Belvedere at Springfield Stadium.
Playing their first competitive match since earning promotion to the Isthmian League in May, the Bulls wasted little time getting on the scoresheet. Miguel Carvalho opened the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing confidently after a slick exchange with James Queree.
Lorne Bickley doubled the lead 11 minutes later, rounding the goalkeeper with ease as the hosts began to take full control. The striker added his second and Jersey’s third just 10 minutes later, capitalising on a defensive error before slotting home.
The Bulls remained on the front foot and were rewarded with two more goals in quick succession late in the second half. Queree made it 4-0 with a stunning curling strike from the edge of the area, and just moments later, Carvalho broke through the defence to fire in at the near post and complete the rout.
The result sees Jersey Bulls advance to the preliminary round in style, continuing their momentum from a successful 2024-25 promotion campaign.
