Jersey Airport unveils new signs to give travellers a local welcome

Jersey Airport has introduced new signage across its arrivals areas as part of an upgrade designed to give passengers a stronger sense of the island from the moment they land.
The new signs have been installed at aircraft stands and inside the airport, featuring imagery celebrating Jersey and a greeting in Jèrriais, the island’s traditional language.
Airport managing director Dale Reeson said the changes were intended to provide travellers arriving from the UK and Europe with a distinctly Jersey welcome.
“The moment you arrive somewhere shapes your first impression,” he said, adding that the airport wanted both returning residents and visitors to “feel an immediate sense of place and a genuine welcome”.
The new signage highlights aspects of Jersey’s identity, including local language and images of the island.
Around 1.4 million passenger journeys were made to and from Jersey last year.
The signage forms part of a broader programme of improvements at the airport in St Peter. Further work is being carried out in the departure lounge, which serves passengers travelling to the 47 destinations currently available from Jersey.
Reeson said the latest changes were intended to make the airport experience feel more connected to the island while improving the arrival experience for passengers.
