Jersey Air Display Scaled Back After Grant Reduction
The 2023 Jersey International Air Display was scaled back due to a reduced government grant, newly released accounts show.
Organisers received £40,000 in public funding—£20,000 less than the previous year—after failing to secure the full £60,000 they had hoped for. As a result, fewer aircraft participated, and the planned static display at Lower Park was cancelled.
Fewer UK-based volunteers also took part, reducing accommodation costs but limiting support for event operations.
Despite tight budgeting, the event ended with a small loss of £550. Organisers have already begun fundraising for the 2025 display.
