Jersey Actor Secures Lead Role in West End Production

Jersey actor Morgan Gregory has been cast as the lead in The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical at The Other Palace in London, starting in March.

The 24-year-old, who moved from ensemble to the lead role after a week of acting up, expressed his excitement and gratitude, saying his career wouldn’t have been possible without Jersey’s performing arts scene. Gregory, whose past credits include 42 Balloons, Elf, and Back to the Future, acknowledged that his dream was always to make it to the West End.

"I’m so grateful to be doing this," he said, noting that performing Percy Jackson’s high-energy role eight times a week will be challenging but rewarding. Gregory also highlighted the importance of his early experiences in Jersey, with training from places like Jersey Academy of Dancing and Drama Lab, which helped him pursue his passion for theatre.

Gregory’s official first performance will be on March 5.
