Island Experiences Mild and Drier October, Jersey Met Reports

Jersey enjoyed slightly warmer and drier weather than usual last month, according to the latest figures from Jersey Met.
Temperature readings showed a high of exactly 20°C on October 1, with the monthly average settling at 14.1°C—0.4°C above the 30-year average for the island.
Rainfall totals varied across the island. Maison St Louis in St Helier recorded 93.4mm, around 13mm below the average for the location. In contrast, the north of the island was considerably wetter: Howard Davis Farm in Trinity saw 138.3mm of rain, 21mm above the local average.
Sunshine levels were also above average, with the island receiving 144.6 hours of sun during October. This works out to roughly four hours and 40 minutes of sunshine per day, around 21 minutes more than the typical daily amount for this time of year.
