Jersey Inflation Rate Falls Slightly Despite Rising Prices

New data from Statistics Jersey shows that while prices in Jersey have continued to climb, the annual rate of inflation has eased slightly since the end of last year.

In the latest quarter, prices rose by 2.3%, a small drop from the 2.5% increase recorded at the end of 2024. This marks a 0.2 percentage point decrease in the annual inflation rate.

According to the report, most price categories saw increases that were either in line with or lower than those seen throughout 2024.

Leisure services had the largest impact on the annual inflation figure, contributing 0.6 percentage points to the overall rate.

The All Items Retail Prices Index—used to track changes in the cost of goods and services typically purchased by an average Jersey household—captures these quarterly shifts.
