Fatal House Fire Claims One Life in St Helier
A person has died following a house fire in Jersey, authorities have confirmed.
Emergency crews were called to a property on Seaton Place in St Helier shortly after 12:30am (BST), where a fire had broken out.
Jersey Police said an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officers are working alongside the fire service to establish the cause of the blaze.
At this stage, police say there are no indications of suspicious circumstances.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “Tragically, one person has died as a result of the incident and our thoughts are with their family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
