A new local initiative is looking to reshape how organisations attract, retain, and develop talent in Jersey. Grow.je, founded by Learning & Development specialist Ashley Cotrel, offers training and coaching solutions designed to support businesses across the island.

Ashley Cotrel brings more than a decade of experience in L&D strategy, organisational development, and coaching, having designed learning programmes for financial services, public sector, and fast-growing private companies.

“I started Grow because I saw too many businesses struggling to balance growth with people development,”

“I started Grow because I saw too many businesses struggling to balance growth with people development,” said Cotrel. “In a tight labour market like Jersey’s, businesses can’t afford to neglect their people. The goal is to make high-quality learning simple, strategic, and accessible.”

The company provides a range of services, including onboarding, compliance, personal development, and management training. These are delivered through a mix of digital and in-person methods, with programmes aimed at helping teams build confidence, resilience, and alignment with business goals.

Grow.je also offers strategic support for leadership teams, helping to refine role structures, pay frameworks, and objectives, with a focus on clarity, accountability, and alignment across the business.

Cotrel said the approach prioritises long-term capability over short-term compliance. “When your people are skilled, confident, and motivated, your business thrives,” she said.

In the post-pandemic business landscape, shaped by remote work, regulatory challenges, and talent competition, Grow.je positions itself as a partner for local companies looking to strengthen resilience and competitiveness through workforce development.
