£5,000 Grants Available for Community Projects
Local charities and organisations are being encouraged to apply for a government grant of up to £5,000 to support community initiatives.
The Connect Me grant scheme, designed to enhance community wellbeing, has been running since 2022 and has already funded 159 projects, benefiting over 40,000 islanders.
This year, the government is prioritising projects that promote arts, culture, and physical activities, aiming to strengthen social connections and improve residents' overall health.
“The scheme plays a vital role in bringing charities together and fostering a sense of community through creative and active engagement,” a government spokesperson said.
Applications will open on Monday, 3 March, and must be submitted by Friday, 4 April.
