Firefighters Tackle Blaze in Jersey Building

Firefighters battled a major blaze that broke out in a building in St Brelade, Jersey, late on Tuesday night. Crews were called to the scene at approximately 23:00 GMT, finding the two-storey structure completely engulfed in flames.

The Jersey Fire and Rescue Service described the operation as "challenging," with firefighters needing to navigate through neighboring properties and wooded areas to establish a water supply and begin extinguishing the fire.

More than 20 firefighters worked for approximately four hours to fully bring the fire under control. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

The fire service confirmed it would return to the site during daylight hours, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is set to take place. A spokesperson praised the efforts of on-call firefighters, saying their support was crucial in bringing the fire to a swift resolution.
