A festive convoy of tractors has raised more than £10,000 for Jersey Hospice Care after touring the Island in a first-of-its-kind charity event.

The inaugural Christmas Tractor Run took place on Sunday, with 50 tractors decked out in seasonal lights and decorations travelling more than 30 miles across Jersey.

Organisers confirmed that the event has so far generated approximately £10,500 for the hospice, with donations still being counted.

The fundraiser attracted widespread praise from spectators and participants alike. Before setting off, the tractors gathered at Albert Bartlett’s factory in Trinity, where judges awarded prizes for the best-decorated vehicles.

The convoy then passed through ten parishes, spreading festive cheer along its route.

Event organisers John Deans and Peter Barette said they were delighted with the response and hope the Christmas Tractor Run will become a regular fixture in Jersey’s festive calendar.
