Epic Challenge: Seven Ironmans in a Week to Support Young People

A Jersey businessman and adventurer is preparing to take on one of his toughest challenges yet — completing seven Ironman triathlons in as many days to raise funds for young people’s charities.


Peter Wright, CEO of Prosperity 24/7, has named the endeavour Island Man. Each day, starting Friday 3 October, he will swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles through Jersey’s lanes, and run a marathon along St Aubin’s Bay.


The challenge will support four causes focused on young people: CLIC Sargent, Kezia’s Fund, Lily’s Fund, and The LouLou Sporting Foundation.


Wright hopes to raise at least £20,000, though he says the backing of the community could push that figure much higher. He is also inviting Islanders to join him on sections of the cycle or run to keep spirits high.
