The 2026 Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon has opened for registration, with discounted early bird places now available for runners keen to begin the New Year with a fitness challenge while supporting charitable causes.

The event, which will take place on Sunday 4 October, starts and finishes at Weighbridge Place in St Helier. Now a well-established fixture in the island’s sporting calendar, the marathon brings together local and international participants to promote healthy lifestyles and raise vital funds for charity.

Since its launch in 2006, the Jersey Marathon has seen consistent growth. What began with around 300 runners has expanded into a major event, attracting more than 2,000 participants last year across all categories, including the full marathon, relay events and shorter distance options.

Early bird entry is priced at £50 and is available until 31 January, with further reductions offered to members of affiliated running clubs. Those who sign up will also benefit from free online training guidance and tailored plans to help them prepare for race day.

Charitable fundraising remains at the heart of the marathon, with entrants encouraged to support local organisations or Standard Chartered’s nominated causes.

Henry Baye, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Jersey, said the event offers an ideal opportunity for people to stay committed to their fitness ambitions. He highlighted the marathon’s strong community spirit and its role in bringing together runners of all abilities for a shared purpose.

Following record participation during last year’s 20th anniversary edition, organisers hope to build on that success and attract even more runners in 2026.
