Honorary Police have reported 12 motorists in one morning for ignoring a road closure on Bagatelle Road in St Saviour.
The drivers now face fines of up to £200, to be decided at a Parish Hall Enquiry.
The incidents occurred during the Monday morning rush hour on 16 February, when roadworks left no access to Bon Air Lane and Wellington Road.
Officers say the carriageway is fully blocked, forcing drivers who pass the signs to turn around into oncoming traffic, creating a safety risk.
They stressed the junction has been shut for safety reasons, not to cause disruption.
Honorary Police added that patrols will remain in place throughout the week to catch anyone disregarding the temporary road layout.
Motorists are being urged to follow the Highway Code and observe the closure to avoid penalties.
