A much-loved immersive light and sound experience in Jersey will operate a ticket system for the first time during its busiest evenings, organisers have announced.

Dreaming Trees, which transforms Howard Davis Park with illuminated displays and audio exploring how trees communicate and share resources, has grown rapidly in popularity since its launch.

To keep visitors safe and avoid overcrowding, tickets will now be required on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. A dedicated booking website has been introduced to control numbers entering the park during peak periods.

Event founder Bruce Labey said the move was designed to ensure the installation remains enjoyable for everyone attending. He explained that monitoring attendance had become necessary as the event attracted larger audiences than originally expected.

Labey, who launched Dreaming Trees in 2023, said organisers had been surprised by how many people were willing to attend an outdoor nighttime event in February conditions. What began as an experimental winter attraction had turned into a standout success, he said.

The installation continues to run until 21 February. Entry from Monday to Thursday evenings will remain free and unticketed.
