Road Closures Remain as Sinkhole Repairs Continue on Rouge Bouillon
Diversions on Rouge Bouillon will stay in place this weekend as work progresses to fix a sinkhole caused by a burst water pipe.
The damaged pipe led to significant ground erosion beneath the road and cracks appearing in a building at the corner of Clarendon Road.
Jersey Water engineers have successfully repaired the burst pipe; however, the main road will remain closed over the weekend to allow for further work.
Clarendon Road has reopened for southbound traffic heading towards St Helier, but diversions remain in effect for drivers and pedestrians.
The affected property continues to be closely monitored while Infrastructure and Environment teams evaluate repair requirements in the area.
Islanders are advised to avoid the area unless necessary.
Further updates are expected to be released after 1.00 pm on Monday, 23 December.
