DFDS Opens Bookings for Jersey’s Winter Sailings
Islanders can now secure their Christmas ferry travel after DFDS released its long-anticipated winter schedule.
Residents, along with Jersey’s hotels and tourism sector, had been waiting for confirmation of sailings beyond October. While DFDS published its October half-term timetable back in July, many passengers were left holding off on plans for Christmas and New Year.
Last week, the Jersey Chamber of Commerce said it had stressed to DFDS the importance of publishing winter schedules promptly. The Chamber was told the details would be available by 19 August—and the company has now delivered.
Bookings are open for travel to the UK and France until early January. The schedule includes:
St Malo: Sailings every Friday through Monday
Portsmouth: Daily crossings, except Sundays (with a few additional Sunday services during the festive period)
Poole: No fast-ferry sailings after 2 November
A statement from DFDS on the new schedule is expected later today.
