Three-Day Christmas Lights Celebration Planned for St Helier
Festive cheer will soon light up St Helier, with organisers confirming that the island’s Christmas lights switch-on will take place across three days next month.
The Parish of St Helier said this year’s celebrations would offer “something for everyone,” with a mix of family-friendly events and quieter options designed for those who prefer a calmer festive experience at Parade Gardens.
Festivities begin on Thursday 13 November with a mini switch-on event featuring a community sing-along and a small fireworks display, starting from 4:00pm.
On Friday 14 November, a sensory-friendly event will be held at 3:45pm, designed to create an inclusive experience without flashing lights, loud noises, or large crowds.
The main event, the Christmas Parade, will also take place that evening, setting off from West’s Centre at 7:00pm and making its way down the High Street before culminating in the big switch-on and fireworks display at 8:00pm in Parade Gardens.
Organisers added that the Christmas Village will be open throughout the celebrations, while the Battle of Flowers Christmas Parade will round off the weekend on Saturday 15 November.
