A man in his 60s is receiving hospital treatment after a road traffic collision involving a van on Tuesday morning, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 09:20 at a crossroads in St Peter's, where La Neuve Route meets Les Routeurs and La Grande Route des Augerez.
According to police, a white Renault van driven by a 64-year-old man collided with a 69-year-old cyclist riding a copper-coloured road bike. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Paramedics took the cyclist to hospital, where he is being treated for serious leg injuries. Authorities say his condition is serious but not considered life-threatening.
Police are appealing for witnesses and are asking anyone who saw the crash, or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, to come forward to assist with their investigation.
