A driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a late-night crash on Victoria Avenue, police have confirmed.
The collision took place shortly after 8.30pm on Wednesday, 4 December, near the second layby along the westbound stretch of the road. Two parked vehicles were damaged in the incident, along with a third car that was travelling on the carriageway.
Officers said a blue Audi S5 and a black Volkswagen had entered Victoria Avenue from Gloucester Street shortly before the crash. Police are now appealing for the driver of the black VW to come forward.
No injuries were reported.
The Audi driver was later released on bail while investigations continue. Police have also issued an appeal for dash-cam footage that may help identify exactly what happened and confirm the movements of the vehicles involved.
