Condor’s Liberation Ferry Put on the Market

Condor’s high-speed ferry, Liberation, has been listed for sale as changes in ferry services take effect.

Currently operating between the Channel Islands and the south coast of England, the vessel will no longer be part of Condor’s fleet serving Jersey after April. This follows the Jersey government’s decision to award its future ferry service contract to Danish company DFDS, leaving Condor to focus solely on Guernsey routes.

The updated Condor timetable does not include Liberation, and ship broker GRS Group has confirmed that its owners are open to selling the vessel. A listing for a ship in Condor’s distinctive pink and yellow colours has appeared on the broker’s website.

Built in 2010 by an Australian company, Liberation has been in service with Condor since 2015. Its name was chosen by the public that same year, marking the 70th anniversary of the Channel Islands’ liberation from World War II occupation.
