CI Co-op Back in the Black, Proposes 2% Member Dividend
The Channel Islands Co-operative Society has bounced back to profitability, reporting a net surplus of £800,000 after a £1.8 million loss the previous year.
In its annual report, the Society announced a proposed 2% dividend for members, pending approval at its May meeting. Turnover rose 2.1% to £212.8 million.
Chairman Jon Bond credited the turnaround to a focus on performance and member value, calling the results "real progress."
CEO Mark Cox said 2024 marked a year of growth and renewed engagement. "Over 80% of our sales now come from members. We've invested in our community, donated over £328,000 to local causes, and partnered with local suppliers," he said.
Looking ahead, the Society plans to modernise its member rewards and expand its community impact in 2025.
