St Matthew’s Church on St Aubin’s inner road is set to welcome families this Sunday with an afternoon of live music, bouncy castles, and pizza – all in aid of an ambitious new community project.
The event, beginning at 12:30, marks the start of fundraising efforts for the Hope Centre, a proposed multi-purpose facility to be built alongside the church.
Plans for the centre, expected to cost around £12 million, include a coffee shop, dedicated youth rooms, and counselling spaces, with the aim of creating a hub for the wider community.
Church leaders say Sunday’s fun day is just the first step in what will be a long-term campaign to bring the project to life.
