Christmas Battle Parade Set for Big Return This Year

St Helier will welcome back its annual Christmas parade this evening, marking the return of a popular seasonal tradition.

This year’s Jersey Battle of Flowers Christmas Parade will feature a selection of festive floats representing parishes from across the island as they make their way through the town centre.

According to the Parish of St Helier, the procession will set off from Conway Street at 18:00 GMT before concluding at Parade Gardens, where visitors will find the Christmas Village. A series of road closures will be in effect between 16:00 and 21:00.

Entertainment at the village will begin earlier in the day, with live performances from groups such as The Riffs and Optimistic Voices starting at 13:00. A dedicated food and entertainment area will also be open to the public.

The parade’s return follows last year’s cancellation, which was caused by severe weather conditions.
