Jersey’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is set to relocate to Bermuda House on Green Street in September 2026, once its lease at Liberte House expires.
Infrastructure Minister Tom Binet has signed off on a new lease agreement for Bermuda House, which will run until 2036. Officials warned that CAMHS risked being left without suitable facilities if a new base was not secured.
The service’s latest annual report welcomed the move, highlighting that the new building will provide more space, dedicated clinic rooms, and greater privacy for young people who had expressed discomfort at being seen entering the current site near schools.
A recent inspection by the Jersey Care Commission also flagged concerns about safety at Liberte House, including risks posed by a first-floor balcony.
