NSPCC Offers Free Safeguarding Training in South-West England and Channel Islands
The NSPCC is providing free safeguarding workshops and online training as part of its nationwide Listen Up, Speak Up campaign, running from 25 November. The initiative aims to help community groups, businesses, and organizations recognise and respond to signs of child neglect or abuse.
Emma Motherwell, NSPCC's local campaigns manager, emphasized that everyone can contribute to child safety by knowing what actions to take if concerned. The training will teach participants how to identify risks, handle sensitive conversations, and connect with appropriate contacts, such as safeguarding leads or the NSPCC Helpline.
The charity is also offering quick 10-minute digital sessions open to the public, providing accessible guidance on protecting children.
