Upper Levels of Pier Road Car Park Closed for Maintenance

Three upper levels of Pier Road Car Park in St Helier have been temporarily closed to allow for essential refurbishment works.

Levels 12, 13, and 14 were shut to both vehicles and pedestrians from Wednesday and are expected to remain closed for approximately four weeks.

The closure is part of a wider renovation project announced by the States of Jersey last year. The refurbishment began in April 2025 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.

According to the Infrastructure and Environment Department, pedestrian routes to Fort Regent and La Petite Ecole nursery remain accessible via stairs and escalators on Level 10. However, the department has advised that prams and wheelchairs will not be able to access Fort Regent through the car park during this period.

Officials have urged the public to use alternative parking facilities and accessible routes where needed and expressed appreciation for the public’s “continued patience and cooperation” during the works.
