Jersey Café Owner Proposes Repairs to Crumbling Sea Wall

The owner of a seafront café in Jersey has submitted plans to carry out essential repairs to a deteriorating sea wall.

Piers Ostroumoff, who runs Portelet Bay Café, raised concerns about the condition of the wall and two nearby sets of concrete steps, warning that their continued erosion could compromise the safety and structural integrity of both the building and access points.

In a proposal submitted to the States of Jersey, Mr. Ostroumoff outlined plans to use concrete plugs to fill in holes and reinforce any weakened areas of the wall.

An environmental impact assessment concluded that the repair work would not cause any lasting damage to the surrounding area.
