Burst Water Main Forces Partial Road Closure in St Helier
Emergency repair work is under way in St Helier after a burst water main prompted the closure of part of Pier Road on Monday morning.
Jersey Water confirmed via social media at around 07:35 BST that engineers had been dispatched to the scene following reports of a fault in the mains supply.
Jersey Police have implemented a road closure stretching from the Pier Road car park to the junction with Mulcaster Street. However, access to the car park remains available via Mount Bingham, according to officers.
A spokesperson for Jersey Water issued an apology for any disruption and said the team was “working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and reopen the road to traffic.
