Albert Pier Marina Upgrade Gets Under Way

Improvement work has begun at Albert Pier as part of a project to make the marina safer and more accessible.

Ports of Jersey said the works include removing the extended deck and installing the existing ramp onto a new steel frame.

The organisation said it would work to keep disruption to a minimum, with normal harbour operations continuing throughout the project.

Jersey harbour-master Capt William Sadler said the improvements were designed to ensure the marina could continue meeting the needs of those who use it regularly.

He said there would be some short-term disruption, but the completed works would provide a more resilient marina capable of supporting Jersey's maritime community for years to come.

The first phase of the project was expected to continue until early January 2027, before a pause over the winter period.
