A trial park and ride scheme has commenced in Jersey. Islanders can park their vehicles at the Airport Playing Fields car park and use the bus stop at Route des Quennevais.
To park, users need a permit, which is free with the purchase of a bus journey.
The trial, proposed in February by the climate charity Jersey in Transition, aims to provide "significant data" for a potential wider roll-out, according to the organization.
Nigel Jones, the charity's chair, stated, "We face two major issues: congestion that significantly delays car journeys into town, and pollution contributing to climate change."
Permit holders can park at the playing fields between 06:00 BST and 19:00 from Monday to Friday. Islanders can obtain a permit application form from the reception at Les Quennevais Sports Centre.
