Jersey ministers will be required to address petitions advocating for year-round dog-friendly beaches and free Saturday parking in town after each received over 1,000 signatures.
Former politician Ben Shenton launched the petition for free parking in public car parks, claiming it would help St Helier "regain its mojo." The petition has garnered over 1,250 signatures.
Meanwhile, a petition for allowing dogs off-lead on beaches year-round, similar to Guernsey's policy, has attracted more than 1,100 signatures. Supporters suggest that dogs could still be banned from popular beaches during April to October.
Both petitions remain open.
