Hawksford Group sponsors free ‘Freedom Day’ celebration concert

Global corporate, private client, and fund services firm, Hawksford, is putting on a free to attend, outdoor community concert at the Howard Davis Park. The ‘Live and Local with The Jersey Bounce’ event, is taking place on Saturday 11th September, aiming to raise spirits and celebrate the increased freedoms as the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions ease.

The performance by popular 13-piece band, Jersey Bounce, will commemorate ‘music through the ages’ creating a night to remember, with the support of DJ Craig Alder, who will open the event.

During the first coronavirus lockdown, Jersey Bounce put on a virtual show to raise money for Jersey Hospice and promised to put on a free live concert if they succeeded in their goal of raising £1,000. The performance superseded its target, raising over £3,000. Now, the band is keeping their free concert promise with the ‘Live and Local with The Jersey Bounce’ event, to thank all those that donated.

Steve Spybey, Jersey Bounce Saxophonist and Chief Financial Officer at Hawksford said: “The band and I are beyond excited to bring people together through the joy of music and say thank you to the local community for supporting and caring for one another during the pandemic. We hope there will be something for everyone to enjoy and encourage music lovers of all ages to come along and celebrate the brighter times ahead.”

Cherith Fothergill, Global Head of Business Development and Marketing at Hawksford said: “Supporting Jersey Bounce’s commitment in thanking the local community for their efforts during Covid was a no brainer. We have all been through a lot in the past eighteen months and now, with restrictions easing, we are finally able to enjoy the safe return of live music and the sense of community it creates, as well as saying thank you to all our community heroes who have made the return to normality possible.”

The event is open to all ages with gates opening at 6pm. Guests are welcome to come along and simply enjoy the show or bring a picnic and make the most of the festivities.
