A man suffered injuries to his face when he was assaulted and robbed by a cyclist in St Helier on New Year's Day.
The man was walking through Millennium Park, near the corner of Gas Place, between 06:00 and 06:15 GMT, when a cyclist approached him and "engaged in some argumentative conversation".
The cyclist then followed the man, assaulted him and stole several items - including a gold chain, a black Timex watch and a blue iPhone 13 Max Pro, police said.
The force described the suspect as an Asian male of stocky build with a shaved head around the back and sides, and who was wearing a dark top with a wide white horizontal stripe across it.
The cyclist rode a mountain bike with rim stickers, front suspension and disc brakes.
Officers asked any witnesses or those with private CCTV in the area to contact them.
