Condor reports rise in passenger numbers during summer holidays

Ferry travel to, from, and between the Channel Islands saw a significant rise this summer. Inter-island travel increased by 75%, from 8,766 to 15,369 passengers. J

Jersey experienced an additional 19,217 car and foot passengers on UK and French routes, while Guernsey saw a 2% increase, with 1,084 extra passengers.

Overall, Condor Ferries reported a 14% rise, with 26,874 more people using its services. CEO Christophe Mathieu attributed the growth to the revised summer schedule, which included more frequent sailings from St Malo and Jersey, and added capacity with the Condor Islander.

Condor is eager to open bookings for Summer 2025, pending the March tender, and Mathieu noted the importance of the year, marking the 80th anniversary of the Islands’ liberation.
